How to reset Photoshop preferences (In Windows):
- First, hold down all three Ctrl+Alt+Shift buttons
- Now “while keeping those button held,” simply open Photoshop or a file that opens with Photoshop
- As Photoshop loads, you should get a prompt asking if you would like to “delete the Photoshop settings file”, Click yes
You should now have a fresh slate with all of the settings returned to their default.
Note: I have found that this process is kind of finicky and doesn’t always work. I have had the best results pressing Ctrl+Alt+Shift and clicking the photoshop shortcut from the start menu in Windows.

This is for Vista as well as XP.
It worked for me, no guarantees, but it worked
Go to the start button,
select run
type in prefetch
click ok
when the screen comes up with a list
delete all of them
this should take care of the superfetch problem (There is a little more to superfetch in Vista than in XP= but I don’t know any more than what I posted) good luck and I hope this works for you, it is much easier than doing a complete restore. Continue Reading

Windows Keyboard Shortcuts
I like to figure out the fastest way to do things. I hope these things will help you become the power user that lies within. These keystrokes have been tested on Windows XP Professional. Some may not work on older systems (although most do). Please note that Ctrl is short for the Control key. Continue Reading

Did you enable TCP/IP from Configuration manager? By default it is disabled and you need to enable it to connect from a remote client.
To enable TCP/IP:
1. run SQL Server Configuration manager
2. select SQL Server Network Configuration
3. select Protocols for ‘instancename’
4. right click on TCP/IP and select ‘enable’
Do you have Sql Server Management Studio. If yes, then you can open it and right click the instance in question, go to Properties -> Connections -> Check “Allow remote connections to this server”.
You might also have to enable TCP/IP Protocol to be enabled thru Configuration Manager.

Changing the icon on the Flash Projector

This is probably something really easy, but I’m an actionscripter/programmer and not an artist. So I was wondering, for when I export an .exe from flash, it has it’s icon still…as the original Flash, and I was wondering how I could change the icon for it. I really don’t want to go into opening up the program and changing some code in it or I could screw up the whole Flash Projector program. Basically, I’m saying, how do I change my .exe icon for the Flash Projector?
reshacker << its pretty easy to use. Continue Reading

You adjust XAMPP settings with plain-text configuration files. The following files exist:

- Apache SSL: .\xampp\apache\conf\ssl.conf
- Apache Perl (only addon): .\xampp\apache\conf\perl.conf
- Apache Tomcat (only addon): .\xampp\apache\conf\java.conf
- Apache Python (only addon): .\xampp\apache\conf\python.conf
- PHP: .\xampp\apache\bin\php.ini
(with the apache actually running php version)
- MySQL: .\xampp\mysql\bin\my.cnf
- phpMyAdmin: .\xampp\phpMyAdmin\config.inc.php
- FileZilla FTP: .\xampp\FileZillaFTP\FileZilla Server.xml
- Mercury Mail basic configuration: .\xampp\MercuryMail\MERCURY.INI

Stationery (.htm)
Windows Vista
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery
Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery
Note that you may have to “show hidden files and folders” in order to access the paths listed above. To do this, follow these directions…
To display hidden folders, do the following:
* Windows Vista
1. In Windows, click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Personalization.
If you are using Control Panel Classic View, double-click Folder Options, and then continue with step 4.
3. Click Folder Options.
4. On the View tab, under Advanced settings, under Files and Folders, under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files and folders.
* Microsoft Windows XP
1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab, and then click the Show hidden files and folders option.
Now that you can access to the folder, simply drag and drop your HTML email stationery file into the folder.
Now open outlook 2007 and select Tools – Options.
Select the “Mail Format” tab and click the “Stationery and Font…” button
Ensure that the Personal Stationery Tab is selected and click the “Theme…” button
You will now see a list of available themes listed in the left hand side. Select your Email Stationery from the list (it will be listed as the file name).
While they don’t make it easy, it’s still possible. But this leads me to wonder. Is Email Stationery dead?

Creating custom Outlook stationery
I made some custom Outlook stationery with my new logo:

Making your own custom Outlook stationery is pretty easy if you know some basic HTML and CSS. All you have to do is make a really simple web page and move the .html and graphic files into a specific Documents and Settings folder. Here’s what I did: Continue Reading
