How to remove hidden hardware devices from Device Manager

A common issue that may indicate that a device may be present (but not shown in Device Manager) is when a network card has been replaced, and the new network card is configured with the same IP Address. In this case you may receive the following message, when you configure the new network card with the same IP address.

The harsh reality is, mobile computing is on the rise, and so is laptop theft. Depending on who you ask, anywhere from 500,000 to over 1,000,000 laptops are lost or stolen in the US each year. In some cases, the data on the hard drive is often more valuable than the machine itself.

Couple days ago I imported one of my VMs into ESX server. This VM was created with VMWare Workstation and itworked fine before. After VMWare Converter was finished I boot up the machine. The boot process failed and stopped with the message below:

Like Windows 7 Public betas Microsoft has made the first Windows 8 Developer Preview build publicly available for download to all Windows enthusiast. Unlike Windows 7, Microsoft did managed to keep tight lied on Windows 8 leaks and it was worth the wait for first official preview build since all the new Metro UI and features can be seen on in this Windows 8 Developer Preview which Microsoft demoed today at Build conference.

Notepad++ 5.0 enabke Auto-Complete Code

Notepad++ is definitely one of the best text editors for Windows, and pretty soon it will be getting even better. The new Notepad++ 5.0 is currently in Beta, and it includes a feature I’ve been waiting a long time for: auto-completion! As you can see in the screenshot above I was writing a bit of HTML, and as I started to close the “center” tag it offered to auto-complete it for me. Simply pressing the Tab or Enter key would have inserted the current recommendation.
