I’ve got a quick Photoshop 101 tip for print media. This can also apply to Illustrator, but I just filed it under Photoshop. We should all know by now that RGB documents are meant for screens, and CMYK documents are meant for printing. Therefore, when you print a CMYK document and you need a really rich black it’s important to remember one little teeny tiny thing: 100% K isn’t the blackest black you can get. More after the jump. - Create artwork for the pattern.
- (Optional) To control the spacing between pattern elements or to clip out portions of the pattern, draw a pattern bounding box (an unfilled rectangle) around the artwork you want to use as a pattern. Choose Object > Arrange > Send To Back to make the rectangle the backmost object. To use the rectangle as a bounding box for a brush or fill pattern, fill and stroke it with None. Continue Reading

PDF CREATION
Adobe PDF files are a common part of your workflow, and Illustrator makes it very easy to create PDF files of your artwork. Simply choose File > Save As and choose Adobe PDF as the file format. In this short video tutorial, Mordy describes the settings in the Save As Adobe PDF dialog box.

Right click on the footage in the Project Window. Click Interpret Footage. At the bottom, under Other Options, it’ll say “Loop _ Times.” By default it’s set to 1. But just increase that number however many times you want it to loop.
